June 6, 2016 -- "This week has really been wonderful."

This week has really been wonderful. R___ a former investigator has been in touch with us again. He has sent texts like, "I read something on the church website. Can we discuss it?" or "I want to start reading in the Book of Mormon. "He has never been able to quite get rid of or let go of the missionaries. We had

to very spiritual lesson 1 with the Elders discussing and reading Alma's conversion story in Alma 36, and the other in Enos. With the help of applying scriptures to him Radovan has agreed on a baptismal date for the June 25! We are so excited for him! It is about time for him to be baptized because he has been studying the Gospel for years.   We feel that he knows it is true and of God or else he wouldn't have wanted to meet with us again. We will do all we can to help him reach that goal. He is ready. Funny story,  one of the times we were

having a lesson on a park bench with him, a 20-year-old looking boy came up and was asking for money. But to our surprise the money wasn't going to him he promised us, but two big rats he pulled out of the front and the back of his shirt.

While am on the funny stories--one night we got a text from our zone leaders to try to get 20 people's names and pray for all the names we received. We had already planned our day with lessons and visits and weren't planning to contact until pretty late at night around 6. When it was around 8 to into dinner, we only had 11 names so we decided to stay out until 9. But we realized maybe why we usually have dinner at 8, because maybe there are quite a few sketchy people on the streets at 8. But none the less we got 9 other names to pray for, even if that meant knocking on taxi drivers' windows... and we were home on time.

We have been going to this wonderful family every week for service. It has been a great way to serve people and to get to know a wonderful family. Last time we went, we decided to share a spiritual thought. We introduced the Book of Mormon and shared some scriptures. This gave them the chance to ask more question like, "Why are you here?" "What do Mormons believe?" and to share their beliefs. They are wonderful. I feel like they have some ways to go, but they are so loving and kind. We know the gospel will bless their lives. Their 15 year old son O___ came to sports and and befriended the Maskovi boys from the branch. He also walked to this one less-active's house who needed food, and at one time even referred to us as his other "Brothers and Sisters."

We have been working with a couple less-active and some of that I mean by telephone calling to see when they have time, if they are come to church, and so on. One being Sestra Očenášková we have still not been over to vist her yet but we call her for church and ask when she has time. She has came 2 weeks in a row even though she lives in Jablonec. After church on Sunday she looked at bus times to see when we can vist her on Thursday. Something I liked that Starsi Vennard said is ,Less active work is just like making friends,. I am very excited to become friends with her as we focus on the life of Jesus Christ. Another less active is Pavlina who lives in the wood of Liberec. She needed to get some food so she sent a list of things to buy and then we were able to serve her and she was able to pay us back in the end. The members here are just incredible and teach me so much about Christ like Love!
